Roper Hut, Alpine National Park, Victoria







Summary:
Nice grassy camp site with numerous trees for shade.

Date of visit:
December 2011

Access:
From the north via Cleve Cove Hut (approximately 5.5 hrs walk), or                     
From the south via Rocky Valley Pondage (approximately 2 hrs walk)

Remoteness:   
Easy access from the south, so can be popular

Water:
Water from permanent creek located 5 minutes away.

Camp sites:
Open grassed areas with many snow gums for shelter. Over 10 camp spots.

Toilets:
1 pit toilet.

Comments:
Hut is small with bench space for 3 people to sleep in.
